This week’s Bawdy Love Q&A: How do you practice compassion for your body when you’re having a really bad day?

It’s a nice idea that we can always be kind to our bodies, but it’s very unlikely that any of us love ourselves 100% of the time. When we’re feeling down, it’s hard to give ourselves the compassion we need to thrive.

The short answer? Try to reframe the way you think about “good days” and “bad days.” No good day is all-good, nor is any bad day all-bad. Give yourself space to experience your feelings without guilt, and recognize that the bad days are the ones when compassion toward yourself is hardest but most necessary.

The long answer? Take a listen to find out.
