Puberty hit me earlier than most of my friends, and with my new boobs came this new wave of emotions, making me feel out of control and helpless. It took almost a decade for me to realize that I wasn’t just some angsty teen lashing out for attention, I was a women struggling with depression.

I’ve been in therapy on and off since I was twelve. It has been extremely helpful in teaching me what’s going on in my brain and how to keep it from taking over my life.

But therapy wasn’t enough.

I needed more. I needed something I could access every day, no matter where I was or what I was doing.

When my partner and I were fighting. When I had a panic attack in the middle of Disneyland. When I sat on the floor curled in a ball wanting to hurt myself.

I needed something more portable, accessible and affordable than a therapist could be.

And that’s where journaling came in.

My very first therapist assigned journaling to me when I was twelve, and twenty-two years and six therapists later, I’m still using this tool to manage my depression and transform my life.

I’ve been teaching journaling to my coaching clients and retreat participants for years, and I have loved watching them use writing techniques to overcome obstacles, heal past wounds, and thrive through even the toughest life events.

One of my clients asked if I would teach a whole course on journaling, and that’s how my new course Journal Through It: From “Oh $#@!” to “I’ve got this!” in 30 Days was born.

For two decades, I’ve developed and refined my personal Journal Through It Action Plan, a five-step process for breaking down a major issue or massive goal into easily doable actions.

This is how I manage my depression. This is how I survive my grief. This is how I thrive as a queer, fat woman in a thin, straight man’s world. This is how I make my dreams a reality.

And I want to share it with you.

For free.

Yes, I’d love to have you in the full Journal Through It course, delving deeper into journaling, writing regularly, coming to my group coaching calls, chatting with others in the community forum, but more than that, I simply want you to start using journaling to transform your life.

So, I’m offering my Journal Through It Action Plan to you for free.

Enter your name and email address below to download it.

Once you download it, let me know what you think in the comments.

I’d love to see you in the course, but course or not, I hope you download the action plan and start using it to transform your life today.

With love and light,

Lauren

P.S. Enrollment for Journal Through It: From “Oh $#@!” to “I’ve got this!” in 30 Days ends Tuesday. After that, it will be a whole year before I offer this course again, so if you are going to enroll, now is the time!
