The weight loss industry is set to make $60 billion this year*. That’s $60 billion dollars made off of making people feel like they need to change to be worthy, valuable, liked, or even loved.
Instead of buying into that app, that diet trend, that gym membership you’ll never use, invest in ways to feel joy and thrive as you are right now, right here.
That’s the goal of Bawdy Love, to encourage you to stop waiting for some arbitrary number on a scale or size on a piece of clothing to live your life to the fullest. This year, don’t make resolutions to change, join a revolution that accepts you as you are.
At its core, Bawdy Love a loud declaration that every body is worthy, and no body is shameful. We aren’t here to try to change each other, we’re here to try to change the way society views bodies.
This time of year, we are all inundated with media telling us we should resolve to change something about ourselves. To counter that from January 2-8, I’m hosting the #ShowMeYourBawdy photo challenge encouraging people to share how wonderful they are right now, right here.
Participation is easy, all you have to do is share a photo of yourself and/or your life that reflects each day’s theme, and tag it with #ShowMeYourBawdy. I will be reposting your images on the @BawdyLove Instagram (please note on the photo if you’d rather we didn’t share yours) so you can help inspire others as well.
