It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of WordPress and my Divi theme. When fellow creatives ask me how my website looks so great, I give all the credit to Divi. It really changed my online life, allowing me to make a professional and flexible site without hiring an expensive web designer.
(Actually, I did pay an expensive web designer, hated my site, and revamped it all by myself using Divi.)
I’ll wax poetically in another post about why Divi and WordPress are the way to go for authors, but today I wanted to share this helpful post from the Divi blog showcasing child themes and layouts that are perfect for authors!
A child theme is a way for you to create a different look or feel to your website without changing the base theme of it. Basically, it does a lot of the design work for you, which saves you time, which you can use to write!
When you’re done checking out the post, come back here and let me know in the comments which is your favorite. (I’ll add my favorite in the comments too!)

P.S. Divi also has a free theme for authors!
I’m an affiliate of Divi themes, which means that if you click on those links, I may get a % of what you buy. I did not get paid for this post and I am not promoting Divi because I want that %, I’m telling you about Divi and these child themes because they’ve helped save me time and I think they could do the same for you. 🙂
